This self-help course can help you stop or cut down on your use of alcohol. The course consists of exercises and assignments that you can perform online. You take the course for either 4 or 6 weeks. At the end of that period, you will see whether you have achieved your aims. During the course, you can keep a journal and take part in an online users' forum where you get in touch with people who are also trying to stop or cut down on drinking.


The course is designed for people with mild to moderate alcohol problems who are living in stable accommodation and are in contact with friends, relatives or coworkers. The course is not suitable for people with a long history of problem drinking, people with health problems, or those who experience serious withdrawal symptoms if they stop or cut back on drinking.

Participation in the course is completely anonymous. You have to log in to activate the course, but you can make up an alias.
